PATRICK HARDY
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Pat is a seasoned sustainability expert with extensive experience in clean technology evaluation, GHG inventory and management systems design and auditing, and emissions reduction projects. He was the leading GHG expert for the Standards Council of Canada and co-founded Climate-CHECK (a sustainability consulting firm) and the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute (GHGMI). He has been working on bilateral support programs with a mandate to strengthen climate governance, and provide technical and policy support for the establishment of MRV systems for climate finance, mitigation actions and emission inventories on behalf of Environment and Climate Change Canada since 2018.
GEMMA KNIGHTS
SENIOR OPERATIONS OFFICER
Gemma studied theater and production with a focus on events technology. She briefly worked in film as a production assistant, then in financial and operational management with an engineering firm in the energy sector. She has 14 years' experience in administration and has been working in the non-profit sector since moving to Canada.

PROJECT COORDINATOR
Yen graduated from the University of Ottawa with a B.A. (Hons) in Environmental Studies and a minor in geomatics. Before joining the NovaSphere team, she gained a wealth of experience in the public service through the Ottawa U co-op program, working in Communications at ECCC, on species at risk for Fisheries and Oceans, and in geomatics at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
LISA MARROQUIN
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER & PROGRAMME DIRECTOR
Lisa has over fifteen years of experience in climate change mitigation, environmental policy and international development, coupled with extensive educational background and proven track record of leading impactful global initiatives. She has served as director of three bilateral support programmes on behalf of Environment and Climate Change Canada since 2018, demonstrating exemplary leadership skills and technical expertise and an unwavering commitment to the principle of collaborative, country-driven climate action.
CHRISTIANE MINEAU
COMMUNICATIONS LEAD
Chris graduated from Carleton University with a B.A. (Hons) in Environmental Studies and a minor in Spanish. She has made a career of being the "jack-of-all-trades" for small but ambitious non-profits, helping launch the Global Water Institute (a multi-disciplinary research cluster focused on domestic and international water challenges) and Efficiency Canada (an energy efficiency policy think-tank) before joining the NovaSphere team. She continues to play many roles, with a special focus on communications and design.
MILLIE BALMER
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Millie graduated from the University of Waterloo with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, majoring in International Development and minoring in Environment, Resources and Sustainability. Before joining the NovaSphere team, she worked in Kampala, Uganda through the IGN+E International Volunteer Initiative, serving as Communications Officer for a local NGO, Africa Agribusiness Academy.
AMANDEEP KAUR
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
Originally from India, Aman immigrated to Canada in 2014 to study business accounting. She is serving as NovaSphere's financial administrator while she completes her Bachelors in Accounting.
